It all began on this day back in 1994 with the acquisition of the Border Brewery Company in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Twenty-five years on from those early days of brewing in an 8 barrel plant, Hadrian Border Brewery has become a household name in the North-East's beer scene. Now, from our SALSA accredited 40 barrel brewery located west of Newcastle city centre, the company continues to go from strength to strength.
In an industry that has seen rapid growth in recent years, the traditional ethos and methods employed by Hadrian Border Brewery have proven to be as successful as ever, in that the beer we put out is enjoyed by so many week in, week out.
Beer culture is forever changing, probably more so now than ever before. Over the twenty-five year period we have maintained our principles in what makes quality, drinkable beer. Our core range, featuring mostly traditional beer styles has stood the test of time and will continue to do so, as well as being expanded upon with new additions such as Northern Pale, a hoppy and modern beer appealing to the recent tastes seen in drinkers.
With regional favourites like Tyneside Blonde, Farne Island and Grainger Ale, plus various specials throughout the year, each brew is done with expertise and knowledge that can only be gained from being in the industry for such a long time. This experience, combined with a genuine passion from everyone on the team, results in what Hadrian Border believes to be Beer at its Best.
So what's next for Hadrian Border?
More of the same! Consistency and quality are at the forefront of what we do. We'll continue to use our tried and tested ways of working, which in turn means we continue to put out the best beer we possibly can. Of course, there'll always be a few curveballs along the way to keep things fresh...
To all of the pubs and venues who have poured our beer, sold our bottles and cans, and to everyone who has enjoyed what we have to offer...
CHEERS! 🍻
