Position: Trade salesperson

Hadrian Border is a well-established, award-winning brewery based in Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. We are over 30 years old, currently entering a new and exciting future as the 2nd generation of the family take the reigns. Primarily known for our cask conditioned ale and bottled beer, with a slow expansion into keg and canned beer, we now offer a wide range from traditional, bright, clean beers to modern, hazy, hoppy unique brews. We have a positive workforce with keen and dedicated staff, and we're looking for someone who will fit well into the team.

The role:

We need a motivated and proactive individual who can build new relations with venues between Hartlepool and Edinburgh. They will maintain and grow existing customer relationships, whilst engaging with prospective customers to acquire new accounts and increase sales volume.

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Manage and maintain growth for the company.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities.

• This job is based approximately 25% in the office and 75% on the road, with an emphasis on flexible shifts to suit customers’ needs.

• Commercial awareness of the brewing and hospitality industry, with a passion for beer and familiarity with both traditional and craft products.

• Sales experience is ideal.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the brewing/hospitality industry.

• Constructive and adaptable in a team setting.

• Feeding back customer and market insights to the wider team on a weekly basis.

• A collaborative approach ensuring cohesive working between management, marketing, and the brew team.
   

Salary and benefits:

• 40 paid hours per week with built-in paid breaks. Part-time is negotiable.

• £28,500 starting salary or pro-rata equivalent plus commission.

• Achievable commission to be negotiated to mutual benefit.

• Company car provided three days a week.

• Company tablet or laptop provided.

• 29 days holiday including bank holidays.
