The next special in our tribute to the region's past industries (previous beers have included They Used To Build Ships Here & They Used To Make Glass Here). This time a nod to the metal makers, and in particular the iron works that once graced the North East. The beer itself is brewed with Mosaic®, Simcoe®, and Centennial hops, with aromas of blueberry and baked bread. Flavours are earthy and biscuity, with a light fruit note and mild bitterness.

The artwork features Robert Stephenson's famous High Level Bridge, one of seven bridges that cross the Tyne from Newcastle to Gateshead. Built in 1849, the majority of the structural elements are made from cast and wrought iron.
The small village of Ridsdale, located around 11 miles from Hexham, was once home to an iron works which mined and cast pig iron. This was used in the construction of the High Level Bridge when it was purchased by William Armstrong. The ruins of the works are still there today.
